On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Teikyo University (Hachioji Campus), we held a master’s thesis proposal presentation session for second-year master’s students from our university’s Graduate School, Graduate School of Liberal Arts, and Division of Japanese Cultures programs. Each student had 35 minutes, including a Q&A session, to present their master’s thesis in progress on stage.
This year's presentations covered a diverse range of topics, including calligraphy, contemporary culture, Japanese language education, and a comparative study of traditional music between Japan and China, and the presentation materials demonstrated meticulous preparation.
During the Q&A session, questions were asked not only by faculty members specializing in each field but also by undergraduate students. Questions were exchanged regarding methods of presenting materials, and faculty members specializing in various fields provided valuable information and asked insightful questions. Following the presentations, a networking event was held, making it a fruitful and meaningful gathering for the presenters as they work towards completing their master's theses.
Division of Japanese Cultures will continue to provide highly specialized education and guidance.
