On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Vietnam National University - Hanoi (VNU-UMP) in Hanoi, Vietnam, we renewed our MOU with Vietnam National Children’s Hospital (VNCH) and signed a new MOU between Teikyo University and VNU-UMP.
For many years, our university and VNCH have deepened their collaboration in both education and research, including overseas clinical training for School of Medicine students, mutual exchange of doctors and researchers, and acceptance of Graduate School. This renewal of the MOU will further develop these ongoing exchanges and further strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two institutions.
Furthermore, we have now signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with VNU-UMP. This establishes a new foundation for collaboration among Teikyo University, VNCH, and VNU-UMP, bringing together their strengths in basic research, medical education, and clinical research and treatment.
Prior to the signing ceremony, an Academic Seminar was held where researchers from our university and VNCH presented on topics such as AI-powered neonatal imaging diagnosis, research on pathogenicity and drug resistance through clinical genome analysis, and initiatives related to the appropriate use of antimicrobial agents. There was also a lively exchange of ideas regarding future collaborative research.
Asia International Institute of Infectious Diseases Control, Teikyo University also believes it is important to translate this MOU signing and renewal into concrete joint research and personnel exchanges. In particular, with infectious disease research, including drug-resistant bacteria, as one of its pillars, we would like to promote international collaborative research that links basic research and clinical research, and further develop exchanges among medical students, Graduate School, and young researchers who will lead the next generation.
With the signing and renewal of this MOU as a new starting point, we will further deepen our relationship of trust with both institutions in Vietnam and promote sustainable and substantive international cooperation in both education and research.
