A signing ceremony for a high school-university collaboration agreement between Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology and four prefectural high schools in Omuta City was held atFukuoka Campus

On Monday, September 28, 2026, Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology held a signing ceremony at its Fukuoka Campus to conclude a "University-High School Collaboration Agreement" with four high schools: Fukuoka Prefectural Miike High School, Fukuoka Prefectural Miike Technical High School, Fukuoka Prefectural Omuta Kita High School, and Fukuoka Prefectural Ariake Shinsei High School. The purpose of this agreement is for the university and the four prefectural high schools in Omuta City to enhance education, research, and community service activities based on mutual trust and cooperation, and to cultivate human resources who will contribute to the development of the local community.
The ceremony was attended by Professor Futoshi Mihara, Dean of Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology, the principals of each high school, and, as a guest of honor, Mayor Yoshitaka Seki of Omuta City, where the agreement was signed and exchanged.

Dean Mihara, who gave the opening remarks, said, "We believe this is a new first step in further developing our previous efforts and leading to continuous and organized collaboration. Going forward, we hope to utilize the educational and research resources and facilities that our university possesses to promote various initiatives such as experiential classes, guest lectures, support for comprehensive inquiry time, and Support for Career Development, so that high school students can experience university learning and think about their own potential and future paths. Through this agreement, we sincerely hope that many outstanding individuals who will support future medical care, welfare, industry, and the local community will be nurtured from the Omuta and Ariake region." He expressed his expectations and aspirations for future collaboration.
Speaking on behalf of the high schools, Principal Masami Inoue of Fukuoka Prefectural Miike High School expressed his determination to "work together with the university, under a strong partnership that transcends school boundaries, to cultivate individuals who are rooted in the community and will powerfully forge a path to the future." Following this, Mayor Seki gave a congratulatory address, and the signing ceremony concluded.

During the Q&A session with the press after the ceremony, Principal Inoue expressed his hope that "not only will students be able to interact with each other, but teachers will also be able to build connections with one another."
Teikyo University's Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology will continue to strengthen its collaboration with local educational institutions and contribute to the development of the local community and the cultivation of talented individuals.
