On September 16th (Wednesday) and 17th (Thursday), 2026, Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus hosted a work experience program for students from Hachioji Municipal Yuki Junior High School.
On the first day, the students received an overview of the university from Office of General Affairs and Planning, followed by a tour of the campus facilities. At the Public Relations Department, they received explanations about the role of university public relations, how to use cameras, and how to disseminate information on social media. They also experienced the work of public relations staff by taking photos on campus and posting them on social media. On the second day, they visited Office of Student Support Career Support Center, where staff explained the job-hunting support system and career support events. They also experienced assisting with student inquiries and helping to run job-hunting related events.
Through this work experience program, the students gained insight into the work of university staff, deepened their interest in work, and had the opportunity to consider their own future and career paths. For the university, it was also a meaningful opportunity to deepen its ties with the community through interaction with the students. The university will continue to deepen its interaction and cooperation with the community and strive to contribute to the local area.
