The 9th Teikyo University Research Exchange Symposium was held atItabashi Campus

On Friday, August 28, 2026, the 9th Teikyo University Research Exchange Symposium was held at Teikyo University Itabashi Campus. This symposium has been held annually since 2018 as a platform for information dissemination and exchange across campuses and specialized fields regarding research activities centered on faculty and staff. This ninth edition continued from last year with a hybrid format of on-demand panel discussions and onsite poster sessions, conducted jointly across all campuses.
In the panel discussion, moderated by Makoto Asashima, Dean Advanced Comprehensive Research Organization and Special Professor of our university, Chairman President Yoshihito Okinaga, Faculty of Economics Department of Business Administration Senior Assistant Professor Kei Sakauchi, School of Medicine Internal Medicine Studies Department Professor Haruko Tashiro, Special Professor Sawako Hanyuu from the same organization, and Yusuke Mori from the Graduate School of Graduate School Engineering at Osaka University Professor took the stage as panelists. Under the theme "Humanity and Science & Technology ~The Role of Universities in the AI Society~," lively discussions were held from multiple perspectives on the changes and challenges brought by the rapid development of AI technology to society, as well as the future direction of university education and research.
During the poster session, about 700 people, mainly faculty from our university, participated, and a record 407 poster presentations were held. The venue featured lively discussions across disciplines, providing a valuable opportunity to deepen exchanges among researchers. Finally, Special Appointment Professor Asashima gave closing remarks, and the poster session concluded successfully.
It is expected that the presentation and exchange of research results at this symposium will lead to the creation of new cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary collaborative research projects that transcend boundaries between fields. Going forward, our university will continue to promote initiatives that cultivate various insights through internal research and give back to society to fulfill one of its responsibilities to society.
