CLUB REBASE, managed by our university alumnus Makito Taguchi, has won the All Japan Club Baseball Championship for the first time.

On Monday, September 7, 2026, at the 50th All Japan Club Baseball Championship final held at Tokyo Dome (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo), CLUB REBASE, managed by Teikyo University alumnus Makito Taguchi (graduated from Faculty of Medical Technology in 2015), defeated the formidable Matsugen Minoshima Hardball Baseball Club, which was aiming for its third consecutive championship, 1-0 to claim its first championship title. The All Japan Club Baseball Championship is a national tournament for club teams organized by JABA (Japan Amateur Baseball Association), where teams that have won their respective regional qualifiers compete to become the best club baseball team in Japan.

CLUB REBASE is an amateur hardball baseball club team established by REBASE, a baseball-specialized gym, and officially joined the JABA Tokyo Baseball Federation in 2024. It has a wide range of members, from teenagers to players in their 20s and 30s who play while balancing work and family life, and is characterized by its training that utilizes knowledge of sports science and biomechanics.
After graduating from this university, Mr. Taguchi played for Mitsubishi Motors Okazaki in the corporate baseball league, and in 2024 he became the manager of CLUB REBASE.

Last year, the team made its debut in the All Japan Club Baseball Championship but was defeated in the first round. However, this year, fueled by that disappointment, they fought their way through the tournament and achieved a magnificent national championship victory.
In an interview after the match, Taguchi said, "Thank you for your support in the semi-finals and finals. I will continue to practice so that I can carry this momentum forward, so I would appreciate your continued support," expressing his gratitude to the fans and staff who cheered him on from the stands and through the live stream.
CLUB REBASE will represent the club team in the 51st Japan Amateur Baseball Championship, which will be held at Kyocera Dome Osaka from October 31st (Saturday). Many of our university graduates are also scheduled to participate in this tournament, so we would appreciate your warm support.
