Teikyo University (located in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Yoshihito Okinaga) has concluded sponsorship agreements with Mitsubishi Electric Plant Engineering Co., Ltd. (headquarters in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Makoto Ichikawa) and MAISON CACAO Co., Ltd. (headquarters in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Shingo Ishihara) for the Teikyo University Rugby Football Club. Through these agreements, we aim to further enhance the competitive environment and strive to become the best in Japan.
Teikyo University Rugby Football Club boasts a record of 13 victories in the All Japan University Rugby Championship and, guided by the philosophy of "character development through student sports," is committed to improving athletic performance and nurturing individuals who can contribute to society.
This sponsorship agreement was concluded with the support of Mitsubishi Electric Plant Engineering Co., Ltd. and MAISON CACAO Co., Ltd., who endorse the club's philosophy and activities, with the aim of promoting student growth and enhancing the value of university sports.
Based on this sponsorship agreement, starting with the Fall 2026 Intercollegiate Tournament, we will compete in the Intercollegiate Tournament and the University Championship wearing jerseys displaying the corporate logos of each sponsoring company.
