Students from the hardball and semi-hardball baseball clubs held the "TEIKYO Multi-Sport Carnival YuruSpo Baseball 5" atHachioji Campus.

On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the "TEIKYO Multi-Sport Carnival YuruSpo Baseball 5" was held at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus. With the theme of letting children experience the joy of playing with a ball, more than 40 elementary school students, mainly from the lower grades, participated.

This event is aimed at elementary school students residing in Hachioji City, Tama City, and Hino City, which are near Hachioji Campus. Its purpose is to encourage participation from children who are new to sports or who have a negative attitude towards sports, and to broaden their enjoyment of physical activity and their interest in sports.
Following on from last year, students from our university's hardball and semi-hardball baseball clubs took the lead in planning and running the event, which focused on "Baseball5," a sport gaining popularity worldwide. The students also handled the event's progress, interacting with the participating elementary school students as they ran the event. Throughout the event, the students rejoiced every time the participating elementary school students made an out or hit a home run, creating a lively and exciting atmosphere.

Students involved in the operation commented, "We were able to communicate a lot with the children, and it was a fulfilling time," and "Both elementary school students and university students were smiling and having fun throughout, and we hope that even more children will participate in the coming years."

Teikyo University will continue to hold community-based sports events and work to create opportunities for children to engage with sports.
