The second club member training session for the 2026 academic year was held atHachioji Campus

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the second club member training session was held at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus for members, coaches, and advisors of athletic clubs and designated強化 clubs belonging to the Athletic Department of Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus. The purpose of this training was to promote student-led club management with an awareness of compliance and governance, and to foster an understanding of the university's philosophy of club activities.

At the beginning of this training session, Sports Bureau Secretary General Masayuki Iwade gave a lecture on the Teikyo University Sports Charter. Secretary General Iwade explained that the Sports Charter is not merely a set of rules, but rather a set of values and ideals that Teikyo University student athletes should strive for. He emphasized that "Teikyo-ness" is shaped by the accumulation of each individual's daily actions, and called for all members to understand and practice the common philosophy.
Next, a panel discussion was held with Professor Yoshihiro Mori of Faculty of Law Department of Political Science, as moderator, featuring the captains of the designated強化 (strengthened) clubs. Focusing on compliance promotion and team building, which each club is working on, and based on the concept of "learning from each other," common keywords emerged such as thorough greetings and manners, promoting communication among members, and building a team that is supported by others. The captains presented their respective practical examples, challenges, and future initiatives. Afterwards, a crisis management lecture was held with Senior Assistant Professor from the Community Safety Division of the Minami-Osawa Police Station, who explained crimes that university students are prone to, including illegal part-time jobs, which have become a social problem in recent years, as well as scams and troubles via social media and bicycle theft.

Students who participated commented, "It was a great time to hear the opinions of other clubs, which are difficult to interact with," "I had almost no knowledge about illegal part-time jobs, and I gained knowledge from this lecture, so it was a very valuable time," and "After the training, I re-examined my own actions and realized that I want to act responsibly as a member of Teikyo University." Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus conducts training throughout the year for students belonging to sports clubs and designated強化 clubs, and will continue to support human resource development, improvement of compliance awareness, and the development of sports club activities.
