From Monday, May 11, to Monday, May 25, 2026, Teikyo University (Faculty of Medical Technology; Department of Clinical Laboratory Science) hosted eight students from the Mahidol University (Kingdom of Thailand) and conducted a training program.
Department of Clinical Laboratory Science This was the third time the university has hosted students from (Thailand), following the 2023 program, and marked the largest group received to date. Additionally, prior to this visit, eight students from Teikyo University visited Mahidol University from March to April 2026 to tour the hospital and participate in academic exchanges.

During the program, students participated in lectures and practical training in Department of Clinical Laboratory Science, and also gained valuable experience of the Japanese clinical laboratory field through visits to the university's affiliated hospital and major clinical laboratory centers. The training was comprehensive, and active interaction also took place outside of classes, with some university students voluntarily guiding the students around Tokyo on weekends.
These two weeks, in which communication was primarily in English, provided our students with a valuable opportunity to gain experience in explaining and guiding in English, and also boosted their motivation to learn by providing insights into clinical testing practices overseas. On the final day of the training, Dean Takigawa presented certificates of completion to all participating students, followed by a farewell party.

Department of Clinical Laboratory Science Since signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on student exchange with the Mahidol University in November 2020, the two universities have been deepening their mutual exchange through a visit by our students in August 2022, a host visit in May 2023, a host and visit in 2024, and a visit and host in 2026.Both universities will continue to provide such opportunities for exchange in the future.
