We held a university and entrance examination information session for Japanese language education institutions at ourKasumigaseki Campus

On Friday, July 10, 2026, Teikyo University held an information session on university and entrance examinations for Japanese language education institutions at its Kasumigaseki Campus. Many Japanese language education institutions, primarily Japanese language schools, participated.

In this information session, we explained the unique features of our university, which support international students from their studies to their future careers, including interdisciplinary learning unique to a comprehensive university, a Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology-certified program that integrates Japanese language education and career support, and an educational environment where international and Japanese students learn together. Furthermore, Yoshimi Hirata, Director Center for Japanese language Education, explained the Japanese language learning curriculum and the support system for those aiming to obtain JLPT N1, and the participants listened attentively to the various internationalization initiatives that our university is promoting.

During the entrance examination briefing, we reviewed the 2026 entrance examination and outlined the 2027 entrance examination. Regarding the self-recommendation system introduced last year, we explained that "this is an entrance examination system that evaluates students' motivation and personality through dialogue. We place great importance on their strong desire to study at our university," which helped deepen their understanding of our university's entrance examination system that evaluates the motivation and individuality of each international student.
At the end of the information session, international students studying at our university took the stage and spoke in fluent Japanese about why they chose Teikyo University and what they were learning there. This provided an opportunity for attendees to experience firsthand the educational achievements of our university through the growth and development of these international students.

Teikyo University aims to create a campus where international and Japanese students can grow together.
