On Sunday, June 7, 2026, Teikyo University held an open campus event at Utsunomiya Campus. At Utsunomiya Campus, student staff took the lead in welcoming participants and held numerous lively, hands-on events. A variety of programs were prepared, including programs that utilized the university's well-equipped practical training facilities and talk shows where participants could hear directly from students about student life and their entrance exam experiences.
The Teikyo Formula Project, primarily run by students from Faculty of Science and Engineering, exhibited a vehicle that the students themselves planned, designed, and built, with the goal of competing in the Student Formula Japan competition. They also demonstrated engine starting, introducing participants to the appeal of manufacturing and a glimpse of practical learning. Furthermore, they offered opportunities to experience piloting a palm-sized drone, and to view and even board actual jet planes and helicopters.
In the Department of Judo Therapy within Faculty of Medical Technology, students had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the curriculum and student life through hands-on experience of wrapping bandages in the practice room and visiting a bone-setting clinic.
In Department of Regional Economics Faculty of Economics, faculty and students introduced their learning content through poster displays at the joint seminar presentation, and also provided an opportunity to feel closer to economics by using board games to learn about the tax system.
Participants shared comments such as, "The explanations were very easy to understand, and I was able to learn a lot about the profession I want to pursue," "It was great to hear the professors' stories through the hands-on experience and tour of the workshops," and "Not only were the professors wonderful, but I could also feel that the students were proud of the university, and I felt it was a very attractive university."
Thank you to everyone who participated.
