Nakayama Hō, a member of the baseball team, won the batting title and was selected for the Best Nine team.

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Metropolitan University Baseball League Spring Tournament was held at Shin-Nippon Logistics Stadium Tama (Tama City, Tokyo), and Mr. Otori Nakayama (3rd year, Faculty of Medical Technology) of the Teikyo University Baseball Club was awarded the batting title and was selected for the Best Nine team.

Nakayama recorded a batting average of .431, demonstrating overwhelming hitting power as the league's only player with a .400 batting average, and played a central role in the team's offense, which led to this award. Nakayama expressed his joy, saying, "Thank you for all your support this season. I am happy to have received the Best Nine award for the second consecutive season. I am also very pleased to have won the batting title for the first time." He further stated his strong determination for the next season, saying, "I will do my best to win the championship next season. I would appreciate your continued support."

Thanks to the efforts of Mr. Nakayama, our university's baseball team was in contention for the league championship, but unfortunately fell short, finishing the spring league in 4th place. However, the team, led by captain Kazuharu Yamada (4th year, Faculty of Medical Technology), has high team strength, and further progress is expected in the autumn league.
We would appreciate your continued warm support for our university's baseball team.
