Teikyo University, a private educational institution, has signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the NPO Industry-Academia Project regarding collaboration and cooperation in supporting the creation of startups.

On Monday, April 6, 2026, Teikyo University, an educational institution, concluded a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the NPO Industry-Academia Project regarding collaboration and cooperation in supporting the creation of startups.
The NPO Industry-Academia Project aims to promote "exchange," "learning," and "regional support" among managers of small and medium-sized enterprises. It is an NPO that works to revitalize economic activity through the regular holding of seminars and inter-industry exchange meetings, as well as to provide regional support and university collaboration. Our university aims to connect the "knowledge" of the university to social contribution and is working to improve the on-campus entrepreneurial environment in order to become a hub for creating startups with practical and innovative technologies.

This comprehensive partnership agreement was concluded with the aim of fostering entrepreneurship at our university and promoting support for entrepreneurship among students, faculty, and staff. Through this agreement, the NPO Industry-Academia Project will support the creation of an environment that promotes the commercialization and social implementation of research results and business ideas by holding events aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and providing consultation on entrepreneurship and business development to students, faculty, staff, and corporations that have received the "Teikyo University Venture Title."
In collaboration with the aforementioned organization, our university will continue to support startups in order to commercialize and implement the research results of our students, faculty, and staff.

At Teikyo University, we are working to establish a system that provides comprehensive support, from fostering an on-campus startup environment to entrepreneurship and market development, with the aim of becoming a hub for creating practical and innovative startups.
Through this collaboration with the NPO Industry-Academia Project, we hope to foster a greater sense of momentum within the university, address the challenges faced by students and faculty members when starting businesses, and accelerate the commercialization and social implementation of research results and ideas.

Hidekazu Nishimiya, Representative Director of the NPO Industry-Academia Project
In recent years, against the backdrop of a declining birthrate and population decrease, universities are expected to demonstrate their unique value more than ever before and play a role in solving social problems and creating innovation. In particular, the creation of university-born startups has become an important theme in the context of the nationwide movement to promote entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, companies are also facing a time of great transformation due to labor shortages, an aging workforce, and the spread of AI. In this environment, the importance of industry-academia collaboration, which involves implementing the research results and technological seeds that universities possess into society and connecting them to new businesses and value creation, is increasing more than ever.
Through industry-academia projects within a non-profit organization, I have been involved in supporting the management and business creation of many small and medium-sized enterprises. I would like to utilize this practical know-how and corporate network to contribute to the creation and growth support of startups originating from Teikyo University.
We are deeply honored to have concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with Teikyo University. Moving forward, we will work in collaboration with Teikyo University to further promote industry-academia partnerships and strive to build an ecosystem that generates sustainable innovation.
