Two Kendo Club have qualified to participate in the All Japan Intercollegiate Kendo Championships.

On Wednesday, May 6th and Sunday, May 10th, 2026, the 72nd Kanto Intercollegiate Kendo Championship and the 58th Kanto Women's Intercollegiate Kendo Championship were held, and two Kendo Club qualified to participate in the All Japan Intercollegiate Kendo Championship.
This tournament was held over two days at Keio Arena TOKYO (Chofu City, Tokyo) and Nippon Budokan (Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo), with individual men's and women's competitions taking place in a tournament format. Approximately 90 universities from the Kanto region participated, and heated matches unfolded.
Five female and six male students from our university participated, and Kanta Eto (4th year, Faculty of Medical Technology) and Ikuya Takahashi (4th year, Faculty of Education) qualified to compete in the All Japan Intercollegiate Kendo Championships. Both will represent Teikyo University and the Kanto Intercollegiate Kendo Federation at the tournament to be held in July, aiming to become the best in Japan.
