A freshman seminar was held atFukuoka Campus for new students.

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, a freshman seminar was held at Teikyo University's Fukuoka Campus. The purpose of this initiative is for new students of Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology, who aspire to become medical professionals, to interact across departmental and course boundaries and discuss the common theme of "What is the ideal medical professional?", with the aim of applying the insights and discoveries gained there to their four years of university life.

At the beginning of the seminar, the new students appeared nervous, but as they enjoyed snacks and drinks, introduced themselves, and engaged in conversation, their expressions gradually softened, and they began to exchange opinions actively.
In the group work, we brainstormed using large sheets of paper and sticky notes to organize our individual visions of the ideal healthcare professional and the values we cherish. Afterwards, we split into new mixed-discipline groups and shared the opinions that had been expressed in the previous discussions, allowing us to be exposed to diverse perspectives and ways of thinking. Finally, we returned to our original groups and deepened our learning by sharing the insights and topics we had gained from other groups.
Following the freshman seminar, the Student Association Executive Committee presented club introductions. Performances by dance clubs and welcome music by light music clubs created a lively atmosphere. Afterwards, time was set aside for membership registration, allowing freshmen to speak directly with upperclassmen and learn about the specific activities of the clubs and how to enjoy university life, further increasing their excitement for the student life that was about to begin.

Fukuoka Campus will continue to work to develop medical professionals who are rooted in the local community and can thrive.
