From March 6th (Fri) to 8th (Sun), 2026, the 88th National Convention of the Information Processing Society of Japan was held at Matsuyama University's Bunkyo Campus, where Shinichi Uegaki (graduate of Graduate School of Science and Engineering in 2025) received the Excellent Presentation Award from the 87th National Convention of the Information Processing Society of Japan.
Ms. Uegaki (then a second-year Division of Informatics Science) belonged to the laboratory of Associate Professor Fumito Furukawa in Department of Data Science Faculty of Science and Engineering Teikyo University. She presented her research findings at the conference held in March 2025, and her work was highly evaluated, leading to her being awarded this prize.
This research aims to improve the quality of education in the high school subject "Information Technology I" based on data from students' learning activities. Specifically, we are exploring how to provide support tailored to each student's situation by analyzing their online material reference history, quiz scores, and trial-and-error history during programming.
Further research activities are expected to contribute to the development of advanced educational and learning support information systems.
