Professor Arata received the 2025 Japan Association of Private Pharmaceutical Universities Education Award atItabashi Campus

On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, Dr. Yoichiro Arata of Teikyo University Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Professor received the 2025 Education Award from the Japanese Association of Private Pharmaceutical Colleges. This award is given to those who have made significant contributions to pharmaceutical education in Japan and have made particular achievements in its progress and development.
Arata Professor contributed to the formulation of the second evaluation standard (January 2008) and the third evaluation standard (released in March 2026) of the third-party evaluation of pharmaceutical education (six-year program) at the Standards and Guidelines Review Committee of Japan Accreditation Board for Pharmaceutical Education, and also served as an evaluation implementer for the organization. In addition, he was responsible for the overall management of the Common Pharmacy Examination in the Examination Administration Committee of the Center for the Common Pharmacy Examination and was involved in the formulation of the "Model Core Curriculum for Pharmaceutical Education - 2022 Revision" as a member of the Council of Pharmaceutical Education. At Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, he has also devoted himself to pharmacy education as the chair of the Curriculum Review Committee, compiling the new curriculum that will be applied from 2024, and is expected to continue his efforts for the development of pharmacy education inside and outside the university.
