Hasuda Laboratory and RoboLab received the Utsunomiya Citizens' Award atUtsunomiya Campus

On Friday, March 27, 2026, Utsunomiya Citizens' Day, the Hasuda Laboratory of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Course Department of Department of Integrated Science and Engineering Faculty of Science and Faculty of Science and Engineering, Teikyo University, and the robot club "RoboLab" received the Utsunomiya Citizens' Award. Utsunomiya City recognizes organizations, individuals, and companies that have performed outstanding activities in the community or schools.

The Hasuda Laboratory's winning of the Society President's Award, the highest award in the 19th University Student Invention and Innovation Contest, and RoboLab's winning of third place in the International Innovation Contest World Championships were highly evaluated and led to this award. This is the fifth award for Hasuda Laboratory and the sixth for RoboLab.
At the award ceremony, Yuichi Hasuda (Professor), Yusho Otaki (Faculty of Science and Engineering, 3rd year), and Satota Muto (Faculty of Science and Engineering, 3rd year), representing Hasuda Laboratory, and Hiroto Suzuki (Faculty of Science and Engineering, 3rd year), representing RoboLab, received a certificate and commemorative medal from Utsunomiya Mayor Eiichi Sato.
The results of these educational and research activities were also recognized at the Teikyo University graduation ceremony held on Saturday, March 21 of the same year, where the Hasuda Laboratory received the Okinaga Cultural Encouragement Award and the RoboLab received the Okinaga Cultural Merit Award.
