The girls' basketball team held the TEIKYO Multi-Sport Carnival.

On Sunday, March 22, 2026, the Teikyo University Women's Basketball Club held a "Beginner-Friendly! Let's Play Basketball Day" at the Hachioji Campus Campus. This event was held as part of the "TEIKYO Multi-Sport Carnival," which provides opportunities to experience and enjoy sports. The aim of the multi-sport event for elementary school students in the Tama area is to create an environment where even elementary school students who are not good at sports can experience the joy of sports through interaction with the top university team in Japan and top athletes.

On the day of the event, more than 50 elementary school students participated, dividing into groups to practice dribbling, passing, and shooting. A team-based dribbling relay was held to test the results of their practice, and the venue was filled with excitement. Finally, they challenged themselves to make shots after dribbling, and the children seemed to enjoy making shots while receiving precise advice from the girls' basketball team members who were acting as coaches.

Teikyo University will continue to hold sports events that are closely connected to the local community, creating opportunities for children to experience sports.
