On Friday, March 6, 2026, Teikyo University held a decarbonization symposium entitled "New Developments and Collaboration in Decarbonization in East Asia" at Kasumigaseki Campus. This symposium brought together researchers from Japan, China, South Korea, and Taiwan to discuss the latest trends in decarbonization in the East Asian region and the possibilities for new business collaborations and policy cooperation in the region.
This sixth annual conference opened with greetings from Teikyo University General Medical Education and Research Center, and featured 10 lectures covering a wide range of topics related to decarbonization in East Asia. Against the backdrop of worsening climate change and changes in the international situation surrounding energy security, diverse insights were shared regarding policies in major countries and regions, corporate initiatives, and technological innovations.
Following each presentation, participants engaged in a Q&A session to deepen discussions on the possibilities of business collaboration and policy cooperation in the East Asian region. Finally, Mr. Naoyoshi Noguchi, Executive Director of the International Trade and Investment Institute, gave the closing remarks, summarizing that East Asian cooperation is essential for decarbonization. Approximately 70 people participated in the symposium, which concluded successfully. Thank you to everyone who participated.
