On Monday, September 8, 2025, a seminar led by Teikyo University Department of Economics Faculty of Economics Senior Assistant Professor Kato conducted fieldwork at Forest Adventure Kosuge, a forest-symbiotic outdoor park in Kosuge Village, Kitatsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture. Kosuge Village is surrounded by lush green mountains and a clear river that has been selected as one of the 100 best water source forests by the Forestry Agency, and is promoting village development based on the keyword "Tama Source."
Kato's seminar is conducting practical fieldwork on the theme of revitalizing the economy by solving local problems, and in 2025, with the aim of making Forest Adventure Kosuge a facility that is used by more young people, they conducted on-site experiential research, filmed videos, and interviewed facility staff to plan and produce a short video that highlights the facility's appeal from a university student's perspective. The completed video was highly praised by the facility manager, who said, "It has a university student-like perspective," and was posted on the facility's official Instagram on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
One of the participating students said, "The greatest appeal of this facility is being able to feel nature, and we wanted to convey in the video how people are enjoying themselves in nature." At the presentation, which was held in the presence of Kosuge Village officials, in addition to presenting the completed video, the students offered many opinions on how to encourage young people to use the facility, such as pricing and their impressions from the actual experience, leading to lively discussion.

Teikyo University will continue to promote practical learning in collaboration with the local community and work to develop human resources who can contribute to society.
