The calligraphy club performed a calligraphy performance at the Keio Momogusaen Plum Festival.

On Monday, February 23, 2026 (national holiday), the Teikyo University Calligraphy Club performed a calligraphy performance at the Plum Blossom Festival held at Keio Mogusaen Garden (Hino City, Tokyo). Keio Mogusaen Garden is a historic Japanese garden dating back to the Edo period, and is a famous spot representing Hino City, attracting many visitors throughout the year.
The weather was perfect on the day, and surrounded by plum blossoms in full bloom, three pieces were performed: "Umehana Kouri," "Asaharu," and a waka poem about the legend of the flying plum blossoms of Sugawara no Michizane. All of the pieces were themed around spring and plum blossoms, and the performances, which harmonized with the atmosphere of the beautiful Japanese garden, were met with warm applause from the many guests in attendance.
The Calligraphy Club aims to create cultural value and contribute to the local community, and will continue to carry out a variety of cultural activities.
