Journalist and ideological historian Hirotsugu Aida spoke on "The Trump 2.0 Administration and Contemporary American Ideological Currents," discussing the origins of the new knowledge society movement that aims to fundamentally change the world system that was shaped around the U.S. in the latter half of the 20th century. Keiko Yoshida, columnist and editorial board member of the Asahi Shimbun, discussed "The Future of the U.S.-China Conflict and Japan's Options," examining where China, led by President Xi Jinping, is headed and how it plans to confront the Trump administration, including its relationship with Japan and the emerging and developing countries known as the Global South.
