Students from Tasaki's seminar held a participatory concert for elementary school and kindergarten children atHachioji Campus

On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, students from the seminar of Professor Noriko Tasaki of Faculty of Education Department of Elementary Education Teikyo University, held a participatory concert at Fuchu City Shinmachi Elementary School.
This concert brought together first graders from Shinmachi Elementary School and five-year-olds from a nearby nursery school to experience the same program, and is positioned as a valuable opportunity for collaboration and connection between kindergartens, nurseries, and elementary schools. The program consisted of an "appreciation type" where students listened to the performance, and a "participation type" where the children could participate by singing and playing instruments. By the end of the concert, the children's tension had eased and they had grown closer to each other. The students enjoyed a fun time surrounded by music, making sounds on the piano mat and dancing while singing.
This initiative is undertaken every year, and this year, elementary school students and children from nearby kindergartens were gathered in the same place to participate together. This has led to the development of an activity that contributes to solving the problems of cooperation and connection between kindergartens, daycare centers, and elementary schools that have existed for over 20 years in the fields of early childhood education and school education. Tasaki Seminar will continue this activity in the future, and will work to further contribute to the local community and society.
