The Vice Mayor of Hachioji City Rugby Football ClubHachioji Campus to offer encouragement to the Teikyo University Rugby Club

On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Yasuhiro Uehara, Deputy Mayor of Hachioji City, visited the Momokusa Ground, the Teikyo University Rugby Football Club 's practice field on the Hachioji Campus.
This visit follows his first in November of last year, when Deputy Mayor Uehara praised the university's Rugby Football Club for their hard work in the National University Rugby Football Championship and sent them warm words of encouragement. In response, the university's Rugby Football Club presented them with a signed rugby ball as a token of their gratitude. On the day, he watched practice together with the university's Rugby Football Club coach, Tomokazu Soma, and also took commemorative photos with the players, making it a meaningful time for deepening ties.
Teikyo University will continue to value its ties with the local community, and Rugby Football Club will continue to practice even harder in preparation for the next season with new members starting in April.
