The first networking event with foreign caregivers and medical professionals was held at Teikyo University's Fukuoka Campus on Saturday, September 13, 2025. This initiative has been running since 2023 with the aim of sharing diverse values and studying together for national exams through interactions with foreign caregivers and medical professionals who are working in Japan under the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and aiming to obtain national qualifications.
The event was attended by 13 foreign caregivers and medical professionals from Indonesia, 20 students, and 11 faculty and staff members. The students were divided into six groups and conducted discussions and group presentations on topics such as what to pack in an emergency backpack, and what to do in the event of an earthquake. The participating students enthusiastically expressed their opinions and actively communicated with the foreign caregivers and medical professionals, making it a meaningful time for learning from each other. A survey of participants also revealed comments such as, "I would like to have more opportunities to interact in English," and "I'm now interested in learning about the various activities of foreigners," making it a fulfilling exchange event.
Fukuoka Campus will continue to carry out activities aimed at further developing international exchange.
