December 26, 2025
On Sunday, November 30, 2025, the selection results for the 3rd "Everyone's Taiwan School Trip Navigator" Taiwan Educational Travel Planning Awards were announced, and students in Teikyo University's Faculty of Languages and Cultures Department of Foreign Languages Professor Naoya Yamazaki's seminar received the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and Special Award.
This contest was organized by the NPO Japan-Taiwan Education Support Researchers Network (SNET Taiwan), a platform supporting researchers in learning about Taiwan. Using the "Everyone's Taiwan School Trip Navigator," a learning website for Taiwan educational trips run by SNET Taiwan, participants were asked to design attractive Taiwan education plans, and numerous applications were received from high schools and universities across Japan. Yamazaki's seminar, specializing in regional studies of Chinese-speaking countries, organized four groups of four people to participate in the contest as a project for the second semester of 2025. They designed original educational trip plans on the themes of biodiversity, history seen from ships and ports, efforts to protect the richness of the ocean, and food culture (salt production and soy sauce brewing), and received high praise. The three winning works, the Grand Prize and the Runner-up Prize, will be published on "Everyone's Taiwan School Trip Navigator" at a later date.
