Campus illumination lighting ceremony 2025 held atHachioji Campus

On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, a lighting ceremony for the campus illuminations was held at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus, marking the start of the illuminations installed on campus. This year marks the ninth year of the campus illuminations, and the lighting ceremony was held in the evening of the first day of lighting, with many students, elementary school and kindergarten children attending the campus, and Teebo, the mascot character for the university's Hachioji Campus joining in the moment of lighting.

As a new initiative this year, illuminations have been installed in various spots other than Mominoki Square, such as Jitsugaku Hill, the first floor entrance to Practical learning Square, and the escalator in front of the bus rotary. At the first floor entrance to Practical learning Square, a shooting star-like star motif illumination and colorful candy lights have been installed on a 25m-high wall, and can be enjoyed from both indoors and outdoors. At Jitsugaku Hill, illuminations with a red motif have been installed in the image of the university's designated training clubs, and are meant to show support for the clubs that have tournaments coming up at the end of the year and beginning of the year.
This illumination event was sponsored by 44 companies, with much of the support coming from companies where our graduates work and companies that have regular ties with our university.
