The calligraphy club performed a calligraphy performance at the Keio Momogusaen Autumn Leaves Festival.

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, the Teikyo University Calligraphy Club performed a calligraphy performance at the Autumn Leaves Festival at Keio Mogusaen Garden (Hino City, Tokyo). Keio Mogusaen Garden is a historic Japanese garden dating back to the Edo period, and is a famous spot representing Hino City, attracting many visitors throughout the year.
On the day, surrounded by trees colored in red and yellow, the group performed a total of three pieces, including a performance in which they wrote characters on large pieces of paper to music, as well as trying out a new style of performance using panels and banners. The music chosen was one that evoked a sense of harmony, and the themes of the pieces incorporated phrases used in Chinese poetry and haiku by Matsuo Basho, creating a tasteful performance in which the calligraphy harmonized with the beautiful autumn garden scenery. Many guests attended, and the performance concluded with warm applause.
In addition, to announce the Autumn Leaves Festival, the calligraphy club wrote the title, which was displayed at various locations on the Keio Line and Inokashira Line as posters, flyers, hanging posters inside trains, and digital signage.
There were some difficult aspects, such as adapting the atmosphere to the venue, but the calligraphy club will continue to work hard, using this experience as motivation.
