December 5, 2025
From Wednesday, November 26th to Friday, November 28th, 2025, Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus hosted students from Tama City Ochiai Junior High School for work experience.
The students first visited the Public Relations Division, where they received an explanation about the role of university public relations, how to use a camera, and how to post on social media. They then took photos on campus and experienced the work of a Public Relations Division staff member by posting them on social media. At Office of Global Education, staff members explained the study abroad program and support system, and the students also experienced working at the front desk for international students. They also had the opportunity to think about studying and working abroad by interviewing international students and students with study abroad experience, interviewing staff members, and participating in international events. Next, at Office of Academic Affairs and Information, the students experienced counter work, book inspections, labeling, and other book preparation tasks at the library.
Through this work experience, the junior high school students were able to think about the meaning of work and their future career paths, and it was a meaningful time for our university. Our university will continue to deepen its interactions with the local community and contribute to society.
