Teikyo University ranked third among private universities nationwide in the 2026 THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings

The "THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026" were announced on Thursday, November 20, 2025, and Teikyo University was ranked "601-800th," placing it third (tied) among private universities nationwide. This marks the second consecutive year that Teikyo University has been ranked, following the rankings' inception last year.

The THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings, compiled in collaboration between the UK higher education magazine Times Higher Education (THE) and Schmidt Science Fellows, are a world university ranking that evaluates the contribution of "interdisciplinary scientific research" that integrates multiple scientific fields. Unlike traditional university rankings, this ranking emphasizes interdisciplinary research activities that transcend fields and recognizes universities that contribute to solving global issues. Rankings are based on 11 indicators across three fields: input, process, and output, with ICU receiving high marks in the field of process. This year's ranking includes 911 universities from 91 countries and regions, with 33 Japanese universities making the list.
