On Sunday, November 23, 2025 (national holiday), the Teikyo University Cheerleading Club performed an opening performance at the public viewing of the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics held at Tokyo Metropolitan Kita Special Needs School (Kita Ward, Tokyo).
Our university's Cheerleading Club has been actively involved in activities to promote the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics, which will be held from Saturday, November 15th to Wednesday, November 26th, 2025. This time, at the request of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the club performed a dance incorporating sign language, "Shuwa Shuwa Deaflympics," together with students from Kita Special Needs School, local residents, and students from the Sign Language Club of Honan High School.
At the venue, Kenji Fujimitsu, who has competed in numerous international competitions such as the Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the World Athletics Championships, and comedian Koniwa appeared as presenters and watched the men's 200m final with the attendees, creating a huge excitement.
The Teikyo University Cheerleading Club will aim to win the 37th All-Japan Student Championships on Sunday, December 14th, while also working towards the goal of respecting others and bringing out each member's individuality.
