On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Teikyo University's Teikyo International Student Employability Development Program was certified under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "International Student Employment Promotion Education Program Certification System."
This system is certified by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as a high-quality educational program that provides international students with a comprehensive range of Japanese language education, career education, and internships. By having students who have completed the program present a certificate of completion issued by their university when looking for work, the system aims to further promote employment for international students at domestic companies and other organizations.
This program is comprised of four pillars: Japanese language education aimed at obtaining the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 and BJT Business Japanese Test J1, which are required for job hunting and employment; career education aimed at improving employability and job hunting skills in order to realize a career in Japan; internships that develop practical skills based on the basic skills learned in Japanese language and career education; and job hunting support to support the individual needs of international students.
Teikyo University will work to help international students studying at the university systematically develop their careers through four support systems.
