With the dramatic development of data utilization through information science, economics today has become an important tool for solving modern problems such as those in finance, banking, international trade, international finance, development, labor, industry, and the environment. In order to respond to these issues, we have placed emphasis on "Practical learning," which is our university's philosophy, and have adopted the new name "Contemporary Economics" to more clearly convey the policy of Division of Economics, which is to always promptly grasp the latest trends in economics.

Division of Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies | International Culture Major | Master's course 9 people Doctoral course 5 people |
This major was established with the aim of cultivating individuals with the ability to grasp cultural phenomena from a perspective that freely transcends the framework of modern nation-states and the boundaries of academic fields in language and culture research, and was named "International Cultures." Over a decade has passed since its establishment, and the major has enrolled many international students. In light of this enrollment situation, we have decided to adopt a more global perspective and change the name of the major to "International Cultures." This change will make the major name easier for prospective students to understand, while maintaining the interdisciplinary and international ideals that "Interdisciplinary" aimed for. The English translation will also be "International Cultures," which will increase its relevance from the perspective of international applicability.
