A pre-lecture on the use of AI in medical settings and G-Test preparation, "What is AI? Starting with the G-Test in Medical Care x AI," was held atFukuoka Campus

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Teikyo University held a pre-lecture "What is AI? Medical x AI starting from G-Certificate" on AI utilization in medical field and G-Certificate preparation at Fukuoka Campus. This lecture was planned and organized with the aim of ascertaining the actual level of students' interest in AI applications and their willingness to take the G-Certificate, a certification test for acquiring AI and deep learning application literacy. Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology Department of Medical Technology Medical Engineering Course The course was attended by a large number of students from other departments and courses in the same department, mainly students from the "G" department, but also from other departments and courses in the same faculty.

The event was hosted by Toshiyuki Kato, General Manager of the AI Operations Department at LINE Yahoo! Communications Corporation, who gave Senior Assistant Professor in an easy-to-understand format for beginners, including an overview of the G-Test, the basic mechanisms of AI, and examples of how LINE is being used, with demonstrations. Specific examples of AI use in the medical field, such as image diagnosis, voice-activated medical record creation, and various operational support using robots, were also introduced, providing a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of the changes AI technology is bringing to the medical field and its future prospects.
At Fukuoka Campus, we will continue to enhance our AI education and work to create an educational environment where students can deepen their learning by exposing themselves to diverse knowledge and technologies and leveraging their own interests and strengths.
