Judo club selected to represent Japan at the World Junior Championships
On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the Japanese representatives for the World Junior Judo Championships to be held in Lima, Peru in October 2025 were announced, with two members of the Teikyo University Judo Club being selected. Due to a change in the tournament schedule by the International Judo Federation (IJF), it was not possible to register after the All Japan Junior Championships, which was the usual basis for selection, had finished, so the representatives were selected based on their performance in international junior tournaments. Keep an eye on the performances of these two members of the Teikyo University Judo Club as they take on the world stage.
Japanese representative selection
Women's 48kg class: Sachiyo Yoshino (2nd year, Faculty of Medical Technology)
Women's over 78kg class: Hikaru Yamaguchi (3rd year, Faculty of Medical Technology)
