Faculty members from the Department Department of Nursing Faculty of Medical Technology, held a health seminar for local residents on how to overcome summer fatigue atItabashi Campus

Teikyo Kenko Hiroba Health Lecture was held at Teikyo University's Itabashi Campus on Saturday, August 30, 2025. This lecture was held by faculty from the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Medical Technology, with the aim of providing local residents with tips for living a healthy life.
The theme of this event was "How to Relieve Summer Fatigue - Diet (Summer Vegetables), Exercise, Sleep, and Lifestyle Tips," and Assistant Professor Yasuyo Fukushi of the Department Department of Nursing Faculty of Medical Technology, explained lifestyle habits that make people more susceptible to summer fatigue and how to prevent them, including air conditioning temperature settings, ways to ensure a comfortable night's sleep, the effects of bathing, exercise, hydration, and the characteristics of summer vegetables.Participants then completed a self-check and exercises using a summer fatigue checklist.Participants also had the opportunity to visualize their vegetable intake using "VegeCheck®," a device developed by Kagome Co., Ltd. that can measure estimated vegetable intake by simply placing the palm of your hand over the sensor for about 30 seconds.
31 people participated on the day, and it was a good opportunity to look at their daily lives and think about how they can apply the knowledge to their daily lives.
Teikyo Kenko Hiroba holds health seminars twice a year and health consultations on the third Wednesday of every month from 12:30 to 14:30. We will continue to carry out initiatives that will help promote the health of local residents.
