Cheerleading Club participated in the JAPAN CUP 2025 Japan Championships

Teikyo University Cheerleading Club BUFFALOS participated in the JAPAN CUP 2025 Japan Championships held at the National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) from Thursday, August 28th to Sunday, August 31st, 2025, with five teams competing in three divisions.
This tournament brings together teams from all over the country that have passed rigorous qualifying rounds to determine the best in Japan in each division. The level of competition is rising every year, and the final ranking is determined by the sum of 50% of the performance score in the semi-finals and the performance score in the finals.

On the third day of the competition, in the freestyle competition university division Division 2, BUFFALOS A thrilled the audience with a highly polished performance and took home the splendid victory. It was a performance that fully demonstrated the results of the practice they had accumulated over the summer.
On the fourth and final day of the competition, the finals of each division were held, and each division displayed highly polished performances, bringing the excitement in the venue to a fever pitch. BUFFALOS, who competed in Division 1 of the university freestyle competition, made mistakes in the six partner stunts they attempted for the first time in this competition, and also made a series of safety violations during their performances, which prevented them from improving their score and meant they unfortunately came in third place overall.
Although this was a disappointing result for the BUFFALOS, who have had a string of good results in recent years, the players are practicing hard every day towards their next goal. The next tournament will be the 37th Student Championship, which will be held on Sunday, December 14th at Takasaki Arena (Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture).
