The robotics club "RoboLab" at our Utsunomiya Campus won third place at the Japan Robot ContestUtsunomiya Campus

The World Robot Olympiad Japan 2025 was held at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th, 2025, and RoboLab, a robotics club from Teikyo University's Utsunomiya Campus, won third place in the Future Engineers category.
The competition is aimed at high school, university, and technical college students, and is a competition to compete in more advanced robot control, with the theme of AI and self-driving robots.

Three teams from our university participated in the RoboLab competition: Teikyo RoboLab, Teikyo Robomecha, and Teikyo Robotica, and they came in third, fourth, and fifth place respectively.
Team Teikyo Robotica, consisting of Tomoki Wu (1st year, Faculty of Science and Engineering) and Ria Kitano (1st year, Faculty of Science Faculty of Science and Engineering), was the only team to achieve a perfect score in the first half of the competition, and expectations were high for the team to do well in the second half, but machine trouble prevented them from improving their score, resulting in a disappointing result. Although they unfortunately missed out on qualifying for the Singapore World Championships in November, the performance of these first-year students, who have only recently enrolled, has been praised, and expectations are high for their future success.
