Students from Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology participated in the rugby football tournament as first responders (medical team) atFukuoka Campus

On Saturday, July 5th and Saturday, July 19th, 2025, second- and third-year students from the Emergency Medical Technician Course at Teikyo University Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology Department of Medical Technology, participated as first responders (medical teams) alongside faculty from Kokushikan University in a rugby football tournament held at Mikuni World Stadium Kitakyushu (Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture).
The temperature was high on the day, so we took vital signs and observed people who were feeling unwell or had been injured in falls, and transported them to medical stations.
The participating students commented that "it was a valuable experience to deal with actual injured people" and "I was reminded once again of the difficulty and importance of communication," and felt firsthand the tension on the ground and the importance of being able to respond through actual rescue operations.
Fukuoka Campus will continue to utilize its knowledge and experience to actively engage in regional cooperation.
