At the 2025 Japan Para Athletics Championships held at Miyaginohara Park General Athletic Grounds Koshin Rubber Athlete Park Sendai (Sendai City Athletics Stadium) on Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th, 2025, Nanami Saeki (4th year, Faculty of Law) of Teikyo University's Athletics Club won the 100m and long jump (T35). She achieved the remarkable feat of breaking the Japanese record in the long jump. Furthermore, at the 109th Japan Athletics Championships held at the National Stadium (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) on Sunday, July 6th, she placed 7th in the women's 100m open para final.
Saeki commented, "For the 100m, I focused on basic training and rehabilitation, and after training I was able to use my body well and win. In the long jump, I was happy to be able to break the Japanese record three times out of seven times. My next goal is to jump 3m, and then I'll do my best to break the world record."
