At the 73rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society of Transfusion Medicine and Cell Therapy, held at the Sapporo Convention Center (Sapporo, Hokkaido) on Saturday, May 31, 2025, Professor Takanori Fujiwara of the Department of Department of Clinical Laboratory Science Faculty of Medical Technology, Teikyo University, received the 17th Murakami Memorial Transfusion and Cell Therapy Special Achievement Award.
This award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding achievements or contributed significantly to the development of transfusion and cell therapy research, testing, and academic activities.
Professor Fujiwara was awarded this prize in recognition of his many outstanding research achievements in the fields of transfusion medicine and transplantation medicine over many years, including his research into HLA and HPA, and the development of groundbreaking methods for highly sensitive antibody detection and analysis, and his contributions to the development of the Japanese Society of Transfusion Medicine and Cell Therapy. We look forward to Professor Fujiwara's continued success in the future.
