On Friday, June 6, 2025, Professor Ichiro Kaneko of Teikyo Simulation Education and Research Center gave a lecture at the NEW EDUCATION EXPO 2025, held in Koto Ward, Tokyo.
This event, organized by the New Education Expo Executive Committee, features lectures and exhibitions aimed at those involved in education, and aims to provide practical examples and the latest information for the future of education.
Professor Kaneko was also present at the lecture, including Yukiko Orii, Professor of the Graduate School of Nursing, Joban Graduate School University, and Shintaro Suzuki, Associate Professor of the School of Medicine Department of Medical Education, Showa Medical University, who reported on their activities in simulation education and talked about future education.
Professor Kaneko conducted a mock class using Body Interact, a patient simulator adopted by Teikyo University, on Zoom Workplace under the theme of "Learning Critical Thinking in Virtual Patient Scenarios," in the same way as in our university's classes. At the beginning, Professor Kaneko played the role of the teacher and Mr. Suzuki played the role of the student, explaining how to use Body Interact and making a diagnosis based on the realistically reproduced pathology. Next, we used the recording function to conduct a review and explained the precautions and points. Finally, I took a test as a review and finished the mock class.
At the end of the lecture, each faculty member expressed their expectations for future students.
