On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, three graduates of Department of Nursing Faculty of Medical Technology Teikyo University gave a lecture to current students in the Life Design Seminar III class.
This class is positioned as Career-related courses at our university, and students deepen their learning in stages in each year from 1st to 4th. This Seminar III is a required subject for third-year students, and its purpose is to deepen their understanding of the people who are the target of nursing, to acquire the ability to learn independently in order to grow as nursing professionals, and to have an outlook for future career development.
On the day, alumni who graduated from our university in 2017 and 2019 and are currently working as midwife, nurses, and public health nurses spoke about their current jobs, their job-hunting efforts, the reasons for choosing their current careers, and their future goals. The students attended with serious expressions as they took notes. After the lectures, there was a Q&A session, which provided a valuable opportunity to hear warm encouragement from the graduates as well as advice directly from them as medical professionals. Students commented, "I realized the need to act proactively to broaden my future options," and "I would like to use information from staff actually working in the field to choose a career I will not regret."
Teikyo University will continue to provide various support through the efforts of its alumni and faculty members to cultivate medical professionals who can continue to thrive in the field.
