Our researcher selected forUtsunomiya Campus 2025 Young and Female Researchers Grant

On Friday, May 16, 2025, Yusuke Oba, a researcher in the Laboratory of Plant Physiology at Tohoku University Faculty of Science and Engineering Department of Integrated Science and Engineering, was selected for the Young Researcher Scholarship in the 2025 Young Researcher and Female Researcher Scholarship by the Japan Private Schools Foundation, and a presentation ceremony was held at the Tokyo Garden Palace.
The purpose of this scholarship is to promote education and research at private universities by providing opportunities for researchers to realize their own research plans, and to nurture human resources who will lead the next generation of researchers.
The selected research project, "Search for Novel Communication Molecules Regulating Plant Regeneration," aims to search for novel molecules involved in plant regeneration phenomena.
TUAT will continue to actively support the challenges of young researchers and contribute to the development of science.
