Associate Professor Hirota received the Japan Health Development Foundation's Excellence in Research Grant Award

On Friday, March 7, 2025, Masakazu Hirota, Associate Professor the Department of Orthoptics Faculty of Medical Technology Teikyo University, received the Excellence Award at the 50th Grant Research Results Presentation held by the Japan Health Development Foundation.
The Foundation operates a comprehensive health checkup center and develops and researches health promotion programs that utilize the natural environment, such as hot spring therapy and climate therapy, to promote and restore the health of the nation, and provides grants for research that leads to the promotion of the nation's health.
Associate Professor Hirota was selected for the Foundation's 2024 grant research on the research topic "Verification of the effectiveness of foot baths in improving smartphone presbyopia," and at this results presentation, he presented research results suggesting that foot baths using hot spring water may improve the focus accommodation response, and the results were recognized and led to the award. We look forward to Associate Professor Hirota's continued success in the future.
