On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, the Nursing Professional and Human Resources Development Center held a memorable nursing presentation at Teikyo University's Itabashi Campus.
The presentation was organized by the Center and jointly planned by Teikyo University Hospital Nursing Department, Teikyo University Faculty of Medical Technology Department of Nursing, and Teikyo Senior Nursing School School, with the aim of fostering a perspective on nursing by reflecting on good nursing practices and providing a platform for interaction between nurses and students. A total of 65 people participated on the day, including 27 nurses, 18 students, and 20 faculty members.
As student presentations, two first-year students Teikyo Senior Nursing School gave presentations on "My ideal image of a nurse" and "The wonderfulness of nursing that I learned through my practical training," while two third-year students from the Department of Department of Nursing, Faculty of Medical Technology, gave presentations on "Collaboration and trust" and "The importance of having a nursing perspective." The nursing department of the affiliated hospital introduced "The warmth of a nurse's hands," "The words of a nurse that gave me the opportunity," and "Medical care that produced a miracle," selected from the comments of patients that had been submitted to a suggestion box installed within the hospital.
Afterwards, the nurses and students split into small groups to deepen their interactions. The students had the opportunity to hear up close from nurses working in the field, and were seen asking questions about working in a hospital and their future career paths, making it a lively and heartwarming event.
We will continue to create opportunities for interaction not only with nurses and students, but also with the general public.
