Internationalization Seminar Held

On Friday, March 14, 2025, an internationalization seminar was held as part of faculty and staff training (FD/SD). The seminar, co-hosted by the Teikyo University Global Initiative Office and the Human Resources Division, was open to all faculty and staff at the university, with an in-person venue at Itabashi Campus and online viewing venues set up at the Hachioji, Utsunomiya, Fukuoka, and Kasumigaseki campuses.
The purpose of this seminar is for each faculty member to understand the social and economic background behind the internationalization of Japanese universities, as well as the current state of internationalization at our university and its future direction.
The event began with an opening address by Hiroko Okinaga, Executive Director and Vice President of our university, followed by a guest speaker, Professor Ota Hiroshi of the Hitotsubashi University Center for University-wide Education, who gave a lecture on the theme of "Trends Surrounding the Internationalization of Japanese Universities: Challenges and Opportunities." In addition, Yoshihito Okinaga, Chairman and President of our university, delivered a video message outlining the university's direction for internationalization, after which members of Global Initiative Office gave speeches to each faculty and staff member about the current state and challenges of internationalization, as well as future developments.

To advance to the next stage of internationalization, which has been Educational Guidelines since the university's founding, we will further utilize the power of a comprehensive university. We will also continue to provide support and activities to nurture students, faculty, and staff who are aware of their connection to the global community and who take action on their own initiative.
