Utsunomiya CampusHasuda Laboratory and RoboLab received the Utsunomiya Citizens' Award

On Utsunomiya Citizens' Day, Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the Hasuda Laboratory of the Department Department of Information and Electronic Engineering Faculty Faculty of Science and Engineering and Technology, Teikyo University, and the robot club RoboLab received the Utsunomiya Citizens' Award. Utsunomiya City celebrates April 1, the day the city was established, as Citizens' Day, and awards are given to organizations, individuals, and companies that are engaged in outstanding activities in the community, schools, and other areas.

The Hasuda Laboratory received the highest award, the President's Award, at the 18th University Student Invention and Ingenuity Contest, while RoboLab won first place at the World Robot Olympiad 2024 Japan competition and placed 16th at the Turkish World Championships. This award marks the fourth time for the Hasuda Laboratory and the fifth time for RoboLab. Professor Yuichi Hasuda and Seiin Kamiyama (4th year, Faculty of Faculty of Science and Engineering) represented the Hasuda Laboratory, and Ryota Kanda (2nd year, Faculty of Science and Engineering) represented RoboLab, and received the certificate and commemorative medal from Utsunomiya City Mayor Eiichi Sato.
